PhD in Genetics and Biochemistry at the Universidade Federal de Uberlândia. She did an internship at the Vaccine Research Center (VRC), National Institute of Health (NIH)-USA, assisting in the molecular development of anti-HIV monoclonal antibodies.

Possui graduação em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (2003), Doutorado em Genética e Bioquímica pela Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (2006), Pós-Doutorado pelo Instituto Nacional de Pesquisa da Amazônia (2007) e Pós-Doutorado pela Universidade Federal do Triângulo Mi
